Do you want to advance your career and smash through the glass ceiling to reach next level? What type of person is mostly promoted? To help CCFA members to advance their career, CCFA will host an event on the topic of “Leadership quality and experience”. The leaders at VP and above representing different areas of financial industry such as from bank, insurance, assets management etc. will share their insights and experiences on developing leadership capability.

A networking event will follow after panel discussion. It will be a great opportunity to meet professionals, executives and expend your network in Finance, Insurance and Asset Management. Dianna Zhang, CCFA acting President and Vice president in Scotia Bank, and Houben Huang, Vice President in BMO, CCFA President Emeritus, will be in the event to share their insights as well.

George Graziani:

George Grazianiis Senior Vice President & Head Longevity, and is responsible for longevity risk for North America and the English Caribbean. He is based in Toronto, Canada, and works on both transactional and developmental aspects of longevity. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and is regularly published in the trade press. Prior to current position, George had gained extensive experiences in the financial service industry working with Insurance Capital Markets Holdings Ltd. (ICMH), international Life Advisors Ltd, Life Equity, BMO FG etc. George is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

 

Hong Xie:

Hong Xie is Vice president and head of Models & analytics North American portfolio management at investment division at Manulife Financial. His key mandates includes developing models/analytics and the relevant tools to support portfolio managers , sharing best practices and achieve a consistent risk and performance measurement methodology globally; and  minimizing costs spent on developments and maintenances of systems and applications. Prior to current position, he worked as Vice president of Models and systems, global variable annuity hedge at Manulife financial and director of model risk and vetting at BMO. Hong holds a Ph.D degree in applied mathematics from University of Alberta. He is also a member of CCFA board of directors

 

Saskia Goedhart :

Saskia Goedhart  joined EY on October 2012 as a Partner in the Financial Services Advisory practice in Canada. She has over 20 years of experience in risk management in the financial industry. Prior to joining EY, Saskia held CRO and senior management positions in banking and insurance in Europe, Asia and North America. Saskia has extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise risk management functions, driving changes in risk culture, and designing and implementing  approaches for identifying, measuring, reporting / monitoring and mitigating credit, market – including ALM and VA hedging, operational and treasury risk, as well as economic capital / internal model design and implementation.

 

Milos Vukovic:

Milos is Vice President, Investment Policy. He joined RBC in 2003 where he is responsible for overseeing various investment management related activities including risk management, performance analytics and trading. Prior to joining RBC Asset Management, Milos had gained extensive experience in the financial services industry working with PricewaterhouseCoopers, TD Securities and Fidelity Investments. Milos holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Schulich School of Business and earned the chartered financial analyst designation in 2004.

 

Ti Wang:

Ti is the head of Canadian Fixed Income Quant Team, and is the head of the global cash analytics team in RBC Capital Markets. Prior to joining RBC, Ti has worked as a quant in risk management of Bank of Montreal. Ti holds a Ph.D degree in pure mathematics form University of Toronto. As a founding member of the CCFA, Ti has served as CCFA’s secretary general and president in the past.
