Professional Communication Skills Seminar
Canadian Chinese Professional Accountants Association (CCPAA) is hosting a seminar on Workplace Professional Communication Skills for accounting professionals on Saturday, July 21 2018 at the Edward Hotel Ballroom. This seminar is designed for accounting professionals at different stages in their careers and new graduates.

Oral and written communication proficiencies are consistently ranked in the top five desirable skills by employer surveys year after year. The ability to communicate information accurately and clearly is vital and should not be overlooked. No matter what career you plan to pursue, learning to express yourself professionally in speech and in writing will help you get there. This seminar is designed for accounting professionals and new graduates who want to improve their professional communication skills. This seminar also help these professionals do a more efficient work and seize the career development opportunities.

- Eric Liu
MBA, China Europe International Business School; Certified PMP, Certified Scrum Master
Eric Liu is 20-year banker, 8-year project manager, and 5-year Agile Coach in financial services industry. Currently, Eric is the Senior Business Analyst at Scotiabank Global Wholesale, Wealth, and Risk Technology. As a Scrum Master, he concurrently brings multiple onboarding projects to successful closure through strategically motivating business stakeholders and technology partners, bridging communication and collaboration gaps, and driving teams towards high performance. He is specialized in large scale software delivery and Agile transformation at scale in large enterprise organizations.

DBA, Nottingham Trent University; Certified World Class Speaking Coach
Hubert has over 12 years consulting and projects management experience from Accenture Consulting in Chicago to Sony Ericsson and Liteon Mobile in Beijing. Now he is in the business of developing people as a trainer, and coach in the area of communication. As a corporate trainer, his past clients include VW, Microsoft, Roche, Shell, Novo Nordisk, Swire Societe General, Loreal, etc. He is also a well-regarded public speaking coach who enjoys helping senior executives becoming more influential communicators.

Lin has over 20 years’ experience with Fortune 500 companies both in China and the U.S. across the areas of government affairs, IT, supply chain and marketing. Lin has been serving on the board of American Chamber of Commerce since 2013 and is the first Chinese woman holding the vice chair role. She is a sought-after trainer, column writer and speaker in cross cultural business communication, government relations and strategic philanthropy.

Client Services Director, Robert Half Management Resources
In this role, she works with the Robert Half Management Resources team in North York, Markham, and Vaughan, providing businesses with skilled senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals on a project or interim basis.
With over 25 years of senior finance management experience and over 10 years in healthcare organization, Evelyn joined Robert Half in January 2018. She works closely with local businesses to find talented senior-level professionals who have the skills and experience to support organizational growth and success. She loves the satisfaction of being able to provide jobs for consultants and helping clients grow their businesses.
Evelyn has an MBA from De La Salle University, a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Santo Tomas. She is a foreign CPA, an active member for the Association of Filipino Canadian CA’s in Ontario and oversees missions and career mentoring with the People’s Church.
