Many businesses face new reporting obligations. We will begin the webinar with a summary of the recent GST/HST changes. Following this, we will choose two topics, Digital Services Tax (DST) and the new law fighting against forced labour and child labour across the supply chains and in other business relationship (Bill S-211) to focus on. We’ll provide an overview of the types of businesses that may be subject to the proposed DST regime, and the related new rules and filing requirements. We’ll also provide insights on the recent law fighting against forced labour and child labour. Among other details, we’ll address its wide application, the review of supply-chains, the disclosure obligations and the upcoming first filing deadline of May 31, 2024
