Effective on or after January 1, 2019, the IFRS 16 Leases standard replaces IAS 17 Leases. The new standard requires a different approach to lessee accounting which will have the biggest impact on many companies, especially those who accounted for their leases as operating leases under IAS 17.
As a part of our professional development objectives, Canadian-Chinese Professional Accountants Association (CCPAA) is hosting a seminar on IFRS 16 updates to help you familiarize with the new standard.
