The seminar will be facilitated by a Senior Manager and a Tax Specialist from KPMG’s US Corporate Tax group and will discuss US tax on a high level, including the various types of income and taxability of the income from a domestic entity perspective versus the non-US entity, and highlights of the common book to tax differences. We will also discuss at a high-level state taxes and will finally end with a discussion on recent US tax reform and what a new administration could mean from a tax perspective.

Mohaddisa Visram, Senior Manager, KPMG

Mohaddisa has over 10 years of experience providing U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and consulting services to multi-national clients in various industries on numerous income tax matters, specifically in tax provision review, due diligence, and client representation in tax controversy matters.

Mohaddisa manages day-to-day U.S. corporate tax services including but not limited to tax compliance, consulting, due diligence, and tax provision review services.

Her specific experience includes Federal and state tax compliance, tax provision preparation and review for multinational public companies and Performing tax due diligence.

Mohaddisa has an applied accounting degree from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom. Currently, she is pursuing a master of taxation degree from the University of Denver.

 

Sangeeta Srinivasan, Tax Specialist, KPMG

Sangeeta Srinivasan is a tax specialist in KPMG Canada’s US Corporate Tax (“UCT”) group. She started as a co‐op in KPMG’s personal tax (Global Mobility Services) practice in 2017 preparing the US and Canadian personal income tax returns.  Sangeeta also gained experience in preparing Canadian corporate income tax returns (T2s) while being part of the KPMG Canada’s Canadian corporate tax practice. In January 2020, she joined UCT and has worked with real estate clients on tax compliance and tax provision preparation and review.

Sangeeta has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, USA, and a Master of Management and Professional

Accounting (MMPA) degree from the University of Toronto, Canada.
